1.
Have we come to far? Ignoring intuition and conscious reasoning The eyes are set on a prize so out of reach Within the confines of immortality Before we're too far gone Can you make this right? What are you waiting for Tell me, what do you see? Open up your eyes, there's not another way Simply put, you're blinded by your very own lies The fire, the diamonds, and the stars But if you can't see the fear in my eyes, then tell me: What do you see? Before we've gone too far Before it is too late I extend my hand So what do you say?
2.
Why can't you see? This is not just for me We've run short on time But you can't seem to change your mind Please listen to me Can't you see? We're rotting in turmoil And we're running out of time But the fire's in your eyes The fire set ablaze in the eyes of the fascist There's nothing left to re-address This system is built to oppress Not save us from this mess But rather conquer and monger for war Drop the bomb Unleash hell Drop the bomb Flaunt your power, now A sign of weakness cannot be what they see But a sign of power and authority Ramp up production of weapons of mass destruction Show the world the fire in your eyes I want to believe That each and every time Despite what we see, there's hope to make it out alive The fire set ablaze in the eyes of the tyrant The bombs will kill us all When they inevitably fall With the fire in their eyes And no regard for the world of tomorrow But can't you see? What you left for me? You're not immortal, but might as well be With the power you wield so lackadaisically There's no turning back, as I reclaim what you've taken from me Ready the test site A show of power And domination, to blow the world away "What could go wrong?" That's rhetorical, it's obvious We'll bomb a nation And move on with our day How can you be so irresponsible with power? Machines of death reign terror for our final hour The atoms split at a depth of 11 kilometers below sea level At the edge of the pacific plate, a shift can be cataclysmic in nature Do you know what you wield? Do you've any idea what you've done? You'll reap the consequence in 3-2-1 Titanic waves crash upon the shore As a pulse circles the earth Setting off seismic events Global apocalypse, man-made Now do you see the calamity? Pleading but you turn your back again How can we be the "land of the free"? Tell me why Fire rains above With hell from below How can we keep hope With progress so slow The fire in your eyes It's burning the skies With ashes and lies It won't ever die The fire in your eyes
3.
Why can't you see? This is not for me How are you so blind? The purpose is but a means to an end Below the surface you cannot just pretend The crime: Violence in the form of prosperity It leaves you blind, the diamonds in your eyes But nothing will change their mind You look above, reach into the sky While we struggle to survive, you've got diamonds in your eyes With fire above and hell below, we both know where you'll go The confines of mortality never cross your mind We're dying in the streets We can barely meet our needs There's nothing left to readdress This system is built to oppress You're given one chance You can't start over Taking it for granted It's such a shame It's not too late, but our time is running short A little bit of thought and consideration could go a long way Why can't you see? This is not for me But all of humankind So please tell me what it's gonna take To make the diamonds leave your eyes Before we run out of time Nothing will change their... Pitiful, is what I'd say A waste of every passing day Cyclical annihilation Starving for a glance our way "Reform, reform" We shout from the streets Blinded by the hatred and scorn So please look past the diamonds in your eyes See the error of your very design A system can't be mended if it’s functioning as intended Revel in the flame you cast upon yourself, your negligence It can't be reversed, but it can surely be stopped In due time, we'll be fine, but only if you change your mind Come with me and see the new day Not a worry in mind, we have so much time Forget the pain, it all goes away If you know the price to pay Come with me and start a new life It's a beautiful sight, if you pay the price "Better luck next time", that's what they say Well I'm sorry you can't afford to be alive You'd rather leave than stay In this hell that you know But when the tide comes your way You'll reap what you sow With fire from above And hell from below How can we keep our hope With progress so slow?
4.
Forget the prospect of reparations Reach to the sky and see This planet is not built for all of us Besides, the stars are lookin' mighty fine Visualize, or fantasize, the prize Through all the lies, the stars are beaming in our eyes You know you want it Just a taste, come with me Come with me and start a new life I'm gonna take you by my side It's best you buckle up because it's gonna be a bumpy ride See the stars, now will you understand? We need a backup plan Forget the life you'll leave behind Our grand design Abandon any semblance of progress Forfeit all hope Leave this perfect planet behind Forlorn, and left to die We've looked so far, for so so long In search for something Among the stars, we're too far gone Yet we've found nothing We've left our home, we're so alone Is anybody out there? Where do we go? We're losing hope Is anybody listening? Despite your perseverance, the seal of the great filter cannot be surpassed We'll leave all of our hopes and dreams behind There's nothing left, is it such a crime? How can we hold onto hope when progress is so slow? This place you leave behind, careless as can be A life cut short and wasted, sealing our demise Overwhelmed with fear and anxiety Our time has run short but the stars are in your eyes This once perfect world, now forlorn and left to die Disparity Pleading but you turn your back again For the last time The fire in you’ve devised, lit ablaze Fleeting, now that we've gone too far We've looked so far, for so so long In search for something Among the stars, we're too far gone Yet we've found nothing We've left our home, we're so alone Is anybody out there? Where do we go? We're losing hope Is anybody listening? Forget the prospect of reparations It’s too late, can’t you see? Your greed will cost the lives of all of us It’s time to open up your eyes Tell me what do you see? Extermination of humanity? We've gone too far I'm afraid that it's too late

Reclamation 19:08
I. A Perfect Planet, Forlorn and Left to Die No chance for a compromise, I have made up my mind We could've been so much more than this, I gave you everything Well you dun fucked up And never will you bow your head in contrition Enter planetary remission The path's been paved for extirpation of humanity I'll terraform a new world Shed skin to begin anew It's such a shame to reclaim this once perfect planet, now forlorn and left to die A breeding ground for possibility Squandered by the selfish nature of power and greed Soon you'll see what's in store: I've designed your demise You've radiated your disease of shallow hearts I will reclaim what you've taken from me With no reprieve, no absolution Shed the skin, begin again Surrender to apocalypse Violent surge of self destruction Formal invitation to mass extinction It gets harder to believe each and every time That despite what we've seen, there's a way out of here II. An Ocean of Storms Under my reign The world will crumble beneath your feet Your cities turned to ash In a fire that will never quench I will breathe it in As oceans fall and rise again Taking all in it's path When will you see what's left? No chance for a compromise I've made up my mind (I've made up my mind) The consequence of power and greed Spreading your disease through to the end We could've been so much more than this I gave you everything, and you threw it all away But still you deny this fire you've devised I see through your lies, I'm taking back what's mine This passion will be fueled only through annihilation Exterminate the parasite and wipe the slate clean I'll terraform a new world An everlasting pain, extinguished It's such a shame to reclaim this once perfect planet, now forlorn and left to die How can you stay inside your false reality? A splitting image of immortality First thing's first, no survivors will remain So take it as you will, alas the end result is still the same You deny the lives that you've jeopardized The innocent will suffer as a consequence of all your lies Can't you see? Engulfed in flame as your cities crumble Erase the trace of humankind Falsifying the pretense of eradication With your dying breath the lies will sweep across the nation The final words of a dying hierarchy: "This could not have been prevented, the world as we know it is coming to an end" The fire once ablaze in the eyes of the fascist Now it rages toward the sky, an all consuming genocide All your cities burned to ash, humanity will never last This passion has been fueled through human extermination No more trace of the parasite I've wiped the slate clean I'll terraform a new world, free from power and greed It's such a shame to reclaim this once perfect planet, now forlorn and left to die How can you stay inside your false reality? A splitting image of immortality You've seen the end, yet you deny that your destiny is intertwined with mine Why can't you see what you've left of me? You're not immortal, as I'm sure you'll see The power you held is no match for me There's no turning back, I've reclaimed what is rightfully mine III. When Will You See? When will you see what you've left of me? Pleading but I'm fucking sick of it Now I will breathe a sigh of relief It's goodbye You depend on me, despite what you believe The well will run dry, it's only a matter of time You can't sustain this life, you're but a parasite Free myself from this symbiotic affair Gone without a trace, time will erase all that's left behind Relieve me of this affliction This planet, silent by design Never again to face the crimes of a vile humanity Blinded by the fire, the diamonds, and the stars Dying by your very own lies Immortality complex "As the sun will surely rise, all life will surely die The cycle is steadfast, it concludes with your demise" Now that I'm free of power and greed The cycle is complete This quiet world will be mine

about

"Immortality Complex" is a concept album that examines humanity's ever growing desire for power, wealth, and technological advancement; and how this desire is ultimately what will tear us apart.

Resuscitate's third full length album, and fifth overall release, "Immortality Complex" marks a shift in Resuscitate's sound towards a less "-core" style, and a more Progressive Metal style, akin to bands such as Between the Buried and Me, and Native Construct.
